Every Business – Every Organization – Every Time

The Table Method is what Josh Tolley has used in dozens of his own companies and is implementing into companies that are seeking to grow. So successful has this method been that is has allowed Josh to build seven businesses to over a million dollars and each of them achieved this in less than ninety days all without a website, click funnel, or even a social media presence. The Table Method is a system for structuring and operating a company in such a way, that when done correctly, the company becomes solid, successful, and operates smoothly in a rapid time frame.

The Basics:

Contrary to what is commonly believed today, success is not illusive, secret, or somehow difficult to understand. As a matter of fact, success can be as reliable as gravity. Just as a car that fails to run ONLY fails due to spark, fuel, compression or air a business, organization, or government, only fails due to a set category of issues.

To give this concept the ability to be visualized, Josh named it The Table Method.

The table top represents the potential of the business as well as the lives of the owners and stakeholders. The size of that potential is determined by the legs holding up the table.

Leg One: Operations

Operations in an organization include things like providing or producing services and products, implementing technology, hiring and training staff, industry innovation, quality controls, etc.

This is where 90% of the attention in most organizations is focused. However, not only does a one-legged table have almost no ability to hold anything significant, leading to extreme loss of realized potential, but it cannot also stand up on its own. Businesses with this type of scenario are always suffering, stressed, cash-strapped, and are existing with an unsure future.

Leg Two: Capital Management

What is the point of putting in the investment and labor if there is no fruit to show for it? Sadly in today’s world most businesses put very little effort into this important second leg. They might have bookkeeping and/or accounting but it is usually either a) In house, which means expensive while not conducting the full line of duties needed or b) Outsourced to a firm that is slow to respond, has high error rates, doesn’t communicate, and still doesn’t conduct the full line of duties needed. And to add insult to injury, these outsourced service providers will then themselves outsource the work on the cloud to international workers at a tenth of the cost, or c)hire the services of a virtual/fractional CFO, which could be somewhat satisfactory but usually is really just a CPA trying to increase billings by providing more reports and financials with insufficient strategy, which can make things even worse.

Just like a one legged table, a two legged table is incapable of long term success and offers very limited potential for owners and stakeholders.

Leg Three: BAMPS

This is purposeful, strategic, and skilled Branding, Advertising, Marketing, PR and Sales. While many businesses may think they are excelling in these areas of business the fact of the matter is they are not. Most businesses don’t understand there are four types of marketing. They don’t understand that nothing done on-line or on social media qualifies as any type of marketing at all, and when it comes to branding, PR and sales, it’s hit or miss by “getting our name out there and setting our price and offer.”

Leg Four: DM&A

By far the most overlooked leg in a business is Deals, Mergers and Acquisitions. No business in the last three hundred years which has become a large and successful company grew through organic sales, inbound lead generation, and all of the other paths businesses today believe they need to take in order to succeed. With rare exception, and we mean so rare we haven’t found proof of otherwise, those successful organizations grew though deals (not the same things as sales) and the acquisition of competitors, suppliers, vendors, and non-industry (for income stream diversification) businesses.

However, if you look at the business world today DM&A is the most overlooked area, to the point where most businesses give 0% of their time and effort to this most important ‘leg’ in the business. So important is this leg that it is the only one where all others could fail and this leg could provide the safety net and opportunity for recovery, yet, it is given no attention in the vast majority of organizations.

Josh’s Company, Kingsbridge, is the only firm in the world which provides the services for all four ‘legs’, as well as the potential and the foundation on which the organization is building their ‘table.’
